Job description

Quality Assurance Clerk - Level II
Accepting candidates from within the FOC organization and external candidates for this position.
Currently looking for a Food Safety Quality Assurance Clerk. This person supports the Quality Assurance Department by maintaining proper documentation of products and processes driving quality policies, procedures, and standards. This position reports to the FSQA Manager.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, some Saturdays as needed based on customer's needs.
Breaks: Employees are allotted with two- 10-minute breaks and a 30-minute lunch daily.
Hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm
Environment: Refrigerated and wet environment, hearing protection required.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Calculate and document the short or overweight of every incoming load into a spreadsheet.
  • Enter the incoming checks for each load into a spreadsheet.
  • Download the photos of the product defects from the tablet onto the shared drive.
  • Email short weights, incoming checks, and photos of incoming loads
  • Keep the SDS folder up to date.
  • Assists in preparation of 3rd Party Audits
  • Set-up and assist in Vendor and Supplier Audits
  • Assist in the duties of the other department clerks during their absence.
  • Assist in the filing of daily production records.
  • QA Pre-op Deficiency Tracking (SPC)
  • USDA Pre-op Deficiency Tracking (SPC)
  • Operational SSOP Deficiency Tracking (SPC)
  • Marination, Breading, & Injection P/U Verification and Tracking (SPC)
  • Daily Product Check Sheet Review
  • Compile and organization of Ice Glaze, Freezer Loss, Incoming Reports, Short weight, BIOTRACE & Environmental swabs, and Product Micro Data (SPC)
  • Assists in preparation for 3rd Party Audits
  • Set-up and assist in Vendor and Supplier Audits (frequency TBD)
  • Other duties as required by quality management.

Requirements: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent. Reading and writing skills• Basic math • Computer Literacy (Excel, Word, Creating Graphs, Online Ordering) • Strong work ethic • Strong ability to work without supervision • Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions • Strong Organizational Skills.
