Position Overview

The Sr Quality Assurance Manager will lead a global team of Automation Engineers and QA SMEs in product testing with the .NET tech stack at ZELIS. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring collaboration excellence, systems integration expertise, technical depth, and strategic influence.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for building strong trust with internal and external stakeholders. collaborating on Product & technical roadmaps, driving test deliveries, enabling AI first test automation practices, driving release readiness quality, enabling KPIs & test reports, and transforming the team into high performing teams with AI - shift left test automation practices
They play a critical role in driving the strategy of the quality of AWS migration work, ETL testing, evolving the QA function to align with broader architectural transformations. A background in transforming legacy QA practices into modern, scalable, and efficient practices is highly desirable.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead a global team of Sr SDETs and Product testers enabling ownership and accountability

  • Lead the evaluation, strategy, development, and maintenance of current and future test automation frameworks aligned with application architecture.

  • Layout and drive test automation strategy for high yield regressions

  • Collaborate with Development& Productteams to promote shift-left testing practices.

  • Coach thetest teams on transferable skills on product and automated testing

  • Mentor and coach global teams, define upskilling paths, and promote a culture of continuous learning.

  • Review features and technical specifications to ensure comprehensive test coverage.

  • Ensure adherence toZelissecurity and compliance standards.

  • Monitor and report on both qualitative and quantitative metrics of test automation. Executive-level reporting is a plus.

  • Partner on performance test coverage

  • Architectural understanding of complex systems integration andlay outintegration/E2Etest plans andtestdatastrategies

Managerial Responsibilities:

  • Hiring,onboarding,and performance management of QA team members.

  • Oversee dailyQuality operations of global QA teams.

  • Analyze QA and automation processes,identifyissues or inefficiencies, and drive improvements.

  • Foster a results-oriented culture with a focus on accountability and excellence.

  • Handle employee discipline andterminationin alignment withZelispolicies.

What You'll Bring to Zelis:

  • Minimum of12years in QA, with atleast2yearsof leading SDETs

  • Proficiencyin .NET technologies,GitHubandtest automation tools

  • Strong experience withCI/CD and DevOps Cloud Platforms

  • Working experience working with AI/ML-assisted tools such as GitHub Copilot or similar

  • Experiencehandling environments with PHI test data management.and ability to model data schemas and relationships to produce realistic datasets using synthetic test data generation tools(any)

  • Performance testing andrelevanttooling experience

  • Experiencewith Jira, Confluence, andZephyr Scale for test lifecycle

  • Excellent leadership, communication, mentoring, and conflict-resolution skills.

  • Strong organizational, time management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Proven experience in modernizing test practices as part of architectural transformation initiatives.

Location and Workplace Flexibility

Zelis is headquartered in the U.S., with multiple locations across the country and in Hyderabad, India. Check out our locations to learn more about our offices. All employee work locations are based on the needs of the position and are determined by the Leadership team. In-office work and activities vary based on work and team objectives in accordance with Company policies.


While location expectations vary by role, candidates within approximately 50 miles of a U.S. office are generally preferred to support collaboration when needed. Our hybrid approach is flexible, and in-office presence is guided by team and business needs rather than a fixed weekly schedule.

Base Salary Range

$105,000.00 - $133,000.00

At Zelis we are committed to providing fair and equitable compensation packages. The base salary range allows us to make an offer that considers multiple individualized factors, including experience, education, qualifications, as well as job-related and industry-related knowledge and skills, etc. Base pay is just one part of our Total Rewards package, which may also include discretionary bonus plans, commissions, or other incentives depending on the role.
