Position Overview
EOHHS is seeking an experienced Senior Quality Assurance Analyst to support the Medicaid Systems Development (MSD) organization, with primary responsibility for the Health Safety Net (HSN) application. This role will lead and support testing activities across the software development lifecycle, ensuring critical healthcare applications meet functional, performance, security, accessibility, and business requirements. The ideal candidate will possess strong manual and automated testing expertise, healthcare or government experience, advanced SQL skills, and the ability to collaborate with business analysts, developers, vendors, and stakeholders in a complex enterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities
Test Planning & Quality Assurance
  • Lead and support testing activities across HSN and other MassHealth applications.
  • Develop test plans, test strategies, test cases, test scripts, and testing documentation.
  • Coordinate end-to-end testing activities and ensure alignment with project schedules.
  • Review requirements, use cases, and functional specifications to ensure testability and coverage.
  • Participate in scope reviews, JAD sessions, and requirements validation activities.
Functional & System Testing
  • Execute: 
    • Functional Testing

Defect & Issue Management
  • Participate in defect triage, remediation, and root-cause analysis sessions.

  • Maintain testing metrics and defect reporting dashboards.
Database & Backend Testing
  • Perform backend and database validation testing.
  • Develop complex SQL queries utilizing:

Reporting & Documentation

Team Collaboration & Leadership
  • Support the QA Manager in planning and coordinating testing activities.

  • Assist with testing process improvements and quality initiatives.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in: 
    • Functional Testing
    • Regression Testing
    • Smoke Testing
    • Black-Box Testing
    • White-Box Testing
  • Experience developing and executing automated test scripts.
  • Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong SQL skills including complex queries, joins, and subqueries.
  • Experience with Oracle databases.
  • Experience using Jira or equivalent defect tracking tools.
  • Experience with:
