Job description

Role- QA Automation Engineer
Location- Austin, TX - Onsite
Job Type- 3 months contract
Looking for a QA Automation Engineer who can own both the automation and the testing discipline behind it. This role is heavily focused on building and maintaining automated test coverage while still being comfortable stepping into manual testing when needed.
The environment is Agile, fast-moving, and highly collaborative. The right person will know how to balance automation, testing strategy, defect tracking, and real-world troubleshooting.
Must haves
• 10+ years of manual testing and test execution experience
• 8+ years of automated QA testing experience
• 8+ years creating and maintaining QA test scripts
• 8+ years of performance testing experience
• Experience developing and maintaining automated test cases using Playwright or similar technologies
• Experience tracking test execution and maintaining testing schedules
• Experience using Jira for defect tracking and issue management
• Experience developing and maintaining requirements traceability matrices
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Ability to support testing across development, QA, UAT, and production environments
Nice to have
• Experience with automated test reporting and dashboarding
• Experience with JavaScript and HTML
• Experience with Playwright, WebdriverIO, or JMeter
• Experience with Jira plugins such as XRay or Zephyr
• Accessibility testing experience
