SUMMARY: The QA Automation Engineer is responsible for evaluating, testing, validating, and improving game concepts, prototypes, systems, and workflows across rapid development cycles.
This role sits at the intersection of quality, automation, AI-assisted testing, risk assessment, player experience, and practical execution. The ideal candidate can identify the biggest risks quickly, separate signal from noise, and build lightweight systems that help the team move fast without creating chaos.
This role requires someone who actively uses AI and emerging tools to accelerate test creation, automate repetitive checks, analyze issues, improve coverage, and move from manual validation to scalable quality systems with speed and clarity.
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Understand company Mission, Vision, and Values and be an ambassador of MVV.
-Test and validate game concepts, prototypes, features, systems, tools, and workflows across fast-moving development cycles.
-Leverage AI and automation tools to accelerate test creation, coverage, issue analysis, reporting, and regression checks.
-Identify critical issues early and prioritize based on player impact, production risk, severity, frequency, and team momentum.
-Build lightweight test plans, checklists, automation scripts, reporting systems, and repeatable validation workflows.
-Collaborate with engineering, design, art, tools, math, coordination, and leadership to improve quality without slowing useful iteration.
-Iterate quickly based on prototype changes, team feedback, test results, and shifting priorities.
-Stay current with emerging AI tools, QA automation methods, test frameworks, workflow tools, and new validation possibilities.
-Identify QA and workflow friction, then proactively suggest or build better approaches.
-Maintain a practical balance between speed, thoroughness, risk tolerance, clarity, and production readiness.
-Use AI responsibly and thoughtfully, with awareness of accuracy, data sensitivity, security, quality standards, and production risk.
REQUIREMENTS:
-Experience in QA, testing, automation, technical support, software validation, or development-adjacent roles.
-Strong ability to identify risk, prioritize issues, and separate important signal from unnecessary noise.
-Sharp quality judgment with the ability to quickly identify what must be fixed, what can wait, and what does not matter yet.
-Demonstrated ability to use AI or automation tools to improve testing, analysis, documentation, or workflow speed.
-Strong awareness of emerging AI capabilities and a proactive approach to learning and applying new tools.
-Ability to make clear testing and quality decisions with incomplete information.
-Strong attention to detail balanced with speed, pragmatism, and team momentum.
-Clear communication and documentation skills.
-Ability to balance quality, feasibility, risk, production impact, player value, and business goals.
-Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment with evolving requirements and undefined processes.
-Low ego, high ownership, strong follow-through, and a team-first mindset.
Preferred Requirements:
-Experience with casino gaming, slot machine development, land-based gaming, or regulated gaming products.
-Experience with test automation, scripting, Unity, C#, Python, logs, dashboards, telemetry, or build validation.
-Experience creating custom tools to assist and supercharge your workflow.
-Experience working with engineers, designers, artists, or production teams through a full development cycle.
