Job description

The Position:
We are looking for a Quality Inspector with a wide variety of abilities to complement our experienced workforce located in the Conesville, Ohio area.
Applicants should have the ability to:
  • Primary responsibility of the QA/QC Inspector is to inspect all Instrument and Electrical installations to insure they are in accordance with the drawings, client standards and code.
  • Interact with field supervision to ensure the installation is completed in accordance with the drawings, standards and codes as it is installed.
  • Self-motivated, personable, a team player and able to communicate and interact effectively with supervision and the client as well as other contractors.
  • Conduct drawing audits on field drawings to ensure that the drawings being used are the most current revision.
  • Witness testing of cable hi-pots and megs, pressure testing of air pipe and impulse lines, calibration of transmitters, control valves, spec checks of instruments and electric devices. Records shall be kept of all such inspections.
  • Spot check materials to ensure that they are in accordance with site material standards, tools, and meters to ensure they have current calibration certificates, and report findings to QA/QC Manager/Coordinator.
  • Keep a log of any discrepancies found and report findings to the QA/QC Manager/Coordinator as a punch list.

Requirements:
  • Ability to pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug/alcohol test and applicable background checks
  • Technical knowledge in the application of engineering, environmental, procurement, construction, inspection and testing sufficient to comprehend specified requirements is desired.
  • Familiarity with industry codes and standards related to E/I installation and testing.
  • Achieved NCCER accreditation in Electrical or Instrumentation.
  • Candidates for this position should have (6) year's related experience in E/I industrial work.
  • (2) years of QA/QC experience required in fabrication/testing/installation of E/I is essential.
