Job description

Under the direction of the Assistant Director of Pharmacy, the Pharmacist oversees the daily activities of the medication use process (selecting, prescribing, dispensing, administration, and monitoring of medications) and provides comprehensive assessments and analysis in collaboration with integrated team members. The Staff Pharmacist oversees the activities of the pharmacy technicians, coordinating workflow and checking all medications prepared for patients.
Hourly Pay Rate: $74.00
This is a POOL position. Varied Schedule.
Qualifications
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree or Doctorate of Pharmacy (Pharm D) with current licensure in Arizona.

Experience:
  • One (1) year of retail/outpatient pharmacy experience preferred.

Certification/Licensure:
  • Requires Pharmacy licensure in good standing in the state of Arizona.
  • Must have a valid fingerprint clearance card issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety or submit a completed Affidavit at the time of hire. Must complete fingerprint clearance card application within seven (7) days of hire date. Must present actual card within 90 days of applying for a fingerprint clearance card.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Must possess good organizational, problem solving and computer skills.
  • Must possess good written and verbal communication skills for interfacing with all levels of staff, physicians, patients, and other contacts.
  • Must have good business acuity.
  • Must be able to use reference tools to evaluate patient care and answer customer questions.
  • Must have knowledge of computer software, particularly pharmacy system software, Microsoft applications, and Pyxis.
  • Requires the ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English.
