Job description

Registered Nurse

Contract position for a Registered Nurse in Med/Surg. The duration of the contract is 13 weeks. The shift is from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. This position does not require on-call hours. Candidates must have a minimum of 1 year of experience. BLS and ACLS certifications are required.

Unit Information: The unit has 26 beds with a staff of 54. Staffing consists of 1 charge nurse, 5 RNs, and 2 Patient Care Technicians on the night shift. Patient ratios are 1:5 to 1:6. Equipment used in the unit includes WOWs, Welch Allyn vital sign machines, pyxis, and EMR Meditech. Permanent positions may be available on the unit. Candidates should be very team-oriented, helpful, and outgoing. Dress code requires navy blue scrubs. Candidates with NIH or ACLS certifications will be considered first. The unit fosters a collaborative environment with opportunities for learning and growth. New equipment and technology enhance the work experience.
