Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care for an adult to geriatric population with diagnoses including CHF, diabetes, orthopedic conditions, chest pain, pneumonia, and COPD
  • Manage and monitor patients on insulin drips and Cardizem drips in a telemetry setting
  • Maintain a patient assignment ratio of 1:5, delivering safe and effective nursing care throughout the shift
  • Document all patient care accurately using EPIC EMR
  • Administer and dispense medications utilizing Pyxis
  • Complete pre-start orientation modules independently prior to the contract start date
Required Qualifications
  • Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Michigan โ€” must be active by start date; compact licenses are not accepted
  • Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a Medical Surgical or Telemetry setting
  • ACLS certification required (AHA preferred); must not be pending at contract start
  • BLS certification required (AHA preferred); must not be pending at contract start
  • Proficiency with Pyxis medication dispensing system required

  • Prior experience with EPIC EMR strongly preferred; EPIC training provided during orientation
  • Experience caring for patients on telemetry drips such as insulin and Cardizem
