  • Position Summary
    • Performs the necessary functions of Materials Distribution in Medical Supply and Equipment Receiving, Item Issues, Transfers, Adjustments, Stocking, Picking, Returns, Requisitioning, Order filling/delivery, Supply Accountability, Customer Service, and Sub-Inventory Replenishment using computer automated systems for the Medical Center (Bowling Green) and other Med Center Health Entities.
  • Minimum Qualifications
    • Work Experience
      • One year of Medical Supply Inventory experience preferred.

    • Education
      • High School graduate or equivalent preferred.

    • Certifications/Licensure
      • Valid Kentucky driver’s license required.
      • Motor vehicle record check required and will be performed annually.
      • D.O.T. Physical required.
  • Job Specific Performance Standards
    • The duties listed below are a summary of the major essential functions of this position. The position may require other duties, both major and minor, that are not mentioned, and specific functions may change from time to time.
       
      • Operates department’s vehicle to deliver supplies to clients.  Adheres to driving laws and regulations and assures safe operation of vehicle.  Conducts general maintenance checks on company vehicle.  Reports maintenance issues.  Maintains record of maintenance checks.
      • Receives incoming Medical Supply and Equipment for Med Center Health entities by proper inspection, computer usage, accountability and documentation.
      • Stocks medical Supply Inventory to include Main Distribution Storeroom and other Distribution Sub-Inventories on a daily basis, and replenishes sub-inventories by picking supplies, transferring and/or issuing.
      • Processes Pyxis Supply Stations Charge & Credit Reports, interpret exception reports, correct discrepancies and post charge requisitions.
      • Monitors Inventory Supplies in both Main Storeroom and Sub-inventories, and advises supervisor of items that need attention.
      • Operates various types of material handling devices, including motor vehicle where applicable.
      • Attends to customer service requests in matters concerning supply, including walk-in requests, requests by telephone and computer generated requisitions.
      • Utilizes a variety of Computer Menu’s and Pyxis Supply Stations in the process of completing supply transactions in the daily routine of supply handling processes.
