Job description

Functioning within the Health System’s mission, values, objectives, and policies and procedures the Lead – Supply Chain Technician performs a variety of supplies, inventory and distribution functions including: processing incoming and outgoing freight shipments; delivering supplies and equipment to both on and  off-campus locations; maintaining storeroom, medical gas tank rooms, and Pyxis Supply Station inventories; posting transactions in the Material Management Information System (MMIS) and Pyxis Supply Center Server; generating Supply Station reports, pulling customer orders and delivering supplies to clinical areas or re-stocking Pyxis supply stations; configuring supply stations, maintaining par levels and refill points, managing expiration dated items and organizing stock for ease of use by the clinical staff. 

Education:   High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Licensure/Certification:  Current unrestricted State of Ohio Drivers’ license is required.  Must be certified as a forklift operator or become certified within 3 months of hire.
Experience:  Previous experience as a supply chain/materials technician in a health care setting is strongly preferred.

Skills:  Basic typing and demonstrated numeric and verbal skill are required.  Must also demonstrate competency to drive and operate a box truck and lift gate; operate various materials handling equipment including but not limited to pallet jacks, manual and electric flatbed carts, and supply carts; and operate computerized supply systems.
