Job description

Respiratory Therapist

Any traveler not currently in possession of an active State of HI license must apply upon acceptance of offer. Candidate must have Hawaii License by start of assignment. Proof of flu vaccination or facility approved application for medical or religious exception will be required prior to contract start date. Flu vaccination can be administered during employee health clearance appointment.

Shift or schedule requirements: Day Shift (0630-1900), Three twelve hour shifts weekly (36 hours), No guarantee of hours.

General job duties, Types of procedures required: Provide continuous airway management. Ventilator and non-invasive ventilator management and support. Physician consulting, CPR, all aspects of respiratory care.

Equipment utilized in the unit/dept: Computerized charting, Pyxis medication management, PB 980, PB 840 Ventilators. V60. Para Pac Transport Vent.

Required skills and minimum years of experience: Must be able to care for patients of the adult, pediatric, neonatal populations. Minimum 2 years experience No first assignments.

Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required: RRT, BLS, ACLS, PALS with NRP preferred, State of Hawaii respiratory therapist license. Current Hawaii license preferred, but willing to take with application already submitted for Hawaii license.
