Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

The Data Engineer (Palantir) is responsible for designing, developing, and managing endtoend solutions on the Palantir Foundry platform. This role delivers scalable, governed data pipelines, ontologies, and applications that enable analytics and operational decisionmaking. The engineer works independently on mediumcomplexity deliverables and collaborates with crossfunctional teams to ensure reliable production solutions

Palantir Platform Development

  • Design, build, and maintain endtoend data pipelines within Palantir Foundry, covering ingestion, transformation, and persistence.

  • Develop and manage Foundry datasets, transforms, and pipelines using Python and SQL.

  • Build and maintain Foundry Ontologies, modeling business entities, relationships, and workflows.

  • Develop Foundry applications and analytical workflows (e.g., Workshopbased solutions) to support business and operational use cases.

  • Promote solutions from development to production following platform, quality, and governance standards.

Platform Operations & Governance

  • Support and operate Palantir Foundry environments (development, test, production).

  • Monitor pipeline health, data quality, and performance; troubleshoot and resolve platform or data issues.

  • Implement and maintain data access controls, permissions, and governance rules in alignment with security and compliance requirements.

  • Partner with platform administrators to follow operational best practices and platform standards.

Data Integration & Engineering

  • Integrate Palantir Foundry with enterprise data sources such as SAP, Snowflake, relational databases, APIs, and flat files.

  • Ensure data accuracy, lineage, and consistency across the data lifecycle.

  • Apply performance and scalability best practices for enterprisescale data volumes.

Collaboration & Documentation

  • Partner with business stakeholders, data analysts, and data scientists to translate requirements into scalable Foundry solutions.

  • Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and solution walkthroughs.

  • Create and maintain technical documentation and operational runbooks.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience integrating Foundry with SAP, Snowflake, Azure, or AWS ecosystems.

  • Exposure to manufacturing, finance, supply chain, or operations analytics use cases.

  • Familiarity with Foundry Code Repositories, version control (Git), and CI/CD concepts.

  • Experience supporting production systems and operational analytics.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

  • Minimum six (6) years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or software engineering.

  • Handson experience with Palantir Foundry, including:

    • Data ingestion and transformation pipelines

    • Ontology design and management

    • Application or workflow development

  • Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.

  • Experience working with enterprisescale data platforms and complex data models.

  • Solid understanding of data governance, security, and access control concepts

Interns are eligible for some of the benefits listed. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
