101,800 - 124,400

Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc. The salary range presented above is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. About the role

As a Senior Software Developer specialized in automation and Agentic AI, you will design and build enterprise-grade intelligent automation and agentic systems that are secure, reliable, and scalable. You will help accelerate delivery through reusable components, modern development practices, and thoughtful architecture-while operating within a governed environment (security, privacy, compliance, and operational resilience).

This role requires more than technical depth: we're looking for a senior developer who leads through strong communication, collaboration, and mentoring, and who consistently demonstrates Integrity, Respect, Customerdriven mindset, Commitment to Excellence, and Generosity in how they work.

What you'll do here:

Build enterprise-grade automation & agentic solutions

  • Design and deliver automation products and agentic AI solutions that integrate with enterprise tools and business processes.

  • Develop reliable Python services, APIs, and workflows to orchestrate tools, agents, and data sources.

  • Build agentic systems using frameworks such as:

    • Google ADK, LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, Semantic Kernel (and equivalent emerging frameworks)

Agentic AI engineering

  • Implement patterns for agent planning, tool orchestration, memory, and multi-agent collaboration (where appropriate).

  • Create robust evaluation approaches (quality, safety, regression testing, hallucination mitigation, prompt and tool-call reliability).

  • Design guardrails: policy-based routing, input/output validation, grounding strategies (RAG), and safe tool execution.

  • Good Knowledge of MCP server development and implementation.

Engineering excellence & operational readiness

  • Produce clean, well-tested, well-documented code with strong engineering standards (SOLID, clean architecture, design patterns).

  • Build for reliability: observability, logs, metrics, traces, alerting; performance profiling and optimization.

  • Contribute to platform standards: reusable libraries, templates, CI/CD patterns, secure-by-default practices.

Governance, risk, and compliance by design

  • Ensure solutions meet enterprise expectations for:

    • Security (secrets management, least privilege, secure coding)

    • Privacy & data handling (classification-aware design, retention considerations)

    • Operational controls (change management, incident readiness, DR considerations where needed)

  • Collaborate with architecture, security, and governance stakeholders to ensure the solution is deployable and supportable.

Leadership

  • Mentor and coach developers; elevate team practices through reviews, pairing, and constructive feedback.

  • Lead technical discussions, propose options with trade-offs, and drive alignment across teams.

  • Influence outcomes through clear writing (ADRs, design docs), stakeholder management, and calm execution under pressure.

What you bring to the table:

  • 10+ years of professional software development experience

  • Mastery of Python (expert-level proficiency)

  • Strong background in:

    • API development (REST/async), service design, integration patterns

    • Data structures, algorithms, performance and scalability

    • Testing strategies: unit, integration, contract, end-to-end; test automation

    • Version control (Git), code review discipline, CI/CD pipelines

  • Bilingual (French and English): Need to interact on a regular basis with an English-speaking clientele and colleagues across the country.
