Job description

Description
We are seeking a versatile Software Developer / Systems Integrator to join our team supporting Department of Defense (DoD) programs. This role sits at the intersection of software and hardware: you will develop and integrate software solutions while understanding the physical systems, servers, and networks they run on. • Developing, modifying, and maintaining software components in support of program requirements
  • Integrating software applications with target hardware platforms, servers, and networked systems
  • Installing, configuring, and administering Linux operating systems, with a focus on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Rocky Linux
  • Building, deploying, and managing containerized applications using Podman and related container technologies
  • Supporting container orchestration and platform environments such as OpenShift
  • Troubleshooting integration issues that span software, operating system, and hardware layers, and drive them to resolution
  • Participating in Agile development cycles as needed, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
  • Collaborating with developers, systems engineers, and hardware teams to define integration approaches and resolve technical dependencies
  • Documenting configurations, integration procedures, and lessons learned to support repeatable deployments
  • Supporting test events, system builds, and fielding activities as required

  • Proficiency with Linux distributions, specifically Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Rocky Linux, including installation, configuration, and administration
  • Hands-on experience with containerization technologies, including Podman, and familiarity with container platforms such as OpenShift
  • Working knowledge of software development practices and at least one general-purpose programming or scripting language
  • Understanding of hardware fundamentals, including servers, storage, and networking, sufficient to integrate and troubleshoot software on physical systems
  • Experience participating in Agile development cycles and working within cross-functional teams
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely
  • Demonstrated broad, adaptable skill set with the ability to contribute across multiple technical areas as program needs shift
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
