Python React Developer information

What is a Python React developer?

Python React Developers are software engineers who specialize in building web applications using Python for backend development and React.js for frontend development. These professionals are skilled in creating robust server-side logic with Python frameworks like Django or Flask, while designing interactive and responsive user interfaces with React. Their combined expertise ensures seamless integration between the frontend and backend, resulting in efficient, scalable, and user-friendly applications.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Python React developer?

To thrive as a Python React Developer, you need strong proficiency in Python for backend development and React.js for building dynamic user interfaces, often supported by a degree in computer science or related field. Familiarity with frameworks like Django or Flask, RESTful APIs, version control systems like Git, and modern JavaScript tools is essential, along with experience in cloud platforms or CI/CD pipelines. Excellent problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills help you work effectively within development teams and translate client requirements into robust solutions. These skills ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable applications that meet user needs and business objectives in a rapidly evolving tech landscape.

How do Python React developers typically collaborate with backend and frontend teams on a project?

Python React Developers often act as a bridge between backend and frontend teams, leveraging their expertise in both domains. They work closely with backend developers to design and implement RESTful APIs or GraphQL endpoints in Python frameworks like Django or Flask, while also collaborating with frontend specialists to build seamless user interfaces in React. Regular stand-ups, code reviews, and shared documentation are common practices that ensure effective communication and alignment across the team. This collaborative environment helps deliver cohesive and scalable web applications.

What is the difference between Python React Developer vs JavaScript Front-End Developer?

AspectPython React DeveloperJavaScript Front-End Developer
Primary SkillsPython, React.js, HTML, CSSJavaScript, React.js, HTML, CSS
Work EnvironmentWeb development, full-stack projects, backend integrationClient-side UI/UX, interactive web interfaces
Common EmployersTech companies, startups, agenciesTech firms, digital agencies, freelancing

Both roles involve React.js and web development, but Python React Developers typically work on backend integration using Python frameworks like Django or Flask, while JavaScript Front-End Developers focus solely on client-side interfaces. The choice depends on whether the role emphasizes backend skills alongside React or is primarily front-end focused.

Are Python React developers in demand?

Python React developers are in high demand due to the popularity of Python for backend development and React for frontend interfaces. Companies seek developers skilled in both technologies to build full-stack applications, and proficiency in related tools like JavaScript, HTML, and CSS enhances job prospects in this field.

What is the average salary for a Python React developer?

The average salary for a Python React developer typically ranges from $80,000 to $130,000 annually, depending on experience, location, and company size. Developers with strong skills in both Python and React, along with experience in full-stack development, tend to earn higher salaries.

Job description

Ford's Vehicle Care engineering team is building the future of vehicle ownership. We create platforms and experiences that help customers understand, maintain, service, and get more value from their vehicles.  Our work powers Ford and Lincoln Apps, dealer-facing tools, and emerging in-vehicle surfaces.

We operate at the intersection of connected vehicle data, service intelligence, AI, and customer-centered product design. Our systems turn vehicle and service data into proactive, personalized experiences for millions of customers around the world.

We are looking for an Engineering Manager who is both a people leader and a builder. In this role, you will lead a talented, multi-disciplinary engineering team, own the technical strategy, partner closely with product and design, and create an environment where engineers can do their best work. You will have end-to-end ownership of your technical architecture, operational health, product delivery and, most importantly, the growth and well-being of your engineers.

We are looking for an Engineering Manager who combines strong people leadership with technical judgment. You will lead a growing team of approximately 5-10 engineers, shape technical strategy, and partner closely with product and design. You will be accountable for your team's delivery, architecture, and operational health and, most importantly, for creating an environment where engineers can grow and do their best work.

Our technology stack includes GCP, Java, Python, React, PostgreSQL, Firestore, Google ADK, GitHub, Dynatrace, and more. We value strong engineering fundamentals and technical judgment over experience with any specific tool or framework.

You'll have...

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related OR a combination of education and experience
  • 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 3+ years directly managing software engineers, or equivalent experience.
    • A consistent track record of hiring, developing, and leading effective engineering teams.
    • Experience creating a healthy team environment that is supportive, challenging, inclusive, and accountable.
    • Strong technical judgment grounded in experience building and operating complex software systems at scale.
    • Experience leading significant technical initiatives with dependencies and impact across multiple teams.
    • The ability to partner closely with product, design, data science, and business stakeholders to define, deliver, and measure product outcomes.
    • A pragmatic approach to architecture and design, with a preference for simple, extensible solutions that can evolve across customers and use cases.
    • A high bar for product quality and operational rigor, including reliability, observability, and sustainable production support.
    • The ability to lead with autonomy, sound judgment, and calm in fast-moving and ambiguous environments.

Even better, you may have...

  • Strong product and design instincts, with an ability to find elegant solutions to complex customer problems.
  • Experience building platforms or shared capabilities used by multiple product teams.
  • Experience building relationships and influencing technical direction across organizational boundaries.
  • Experience leading a distributed team across locations or time zones.

You may not check every box, or your experience may look a little different from what we've outlined, but if you think you can bring value to Ford Motor Company, we encourage you to apply!
As an established global company, we offer the benefit of choice. You can choose what your Ford future will look like: will your story span the globe, or keep you close to home? Will your career be a deep dive into what you love, or a series of new teams and new skills? Will you be a leader, a changemaker, a technical expert, a culture builder...or all of the above? No matter what you choose, we offer a work life that works for you, including:

Immediate medical, dental, vision and prescription drug coverage

Flexible family care days, paid parental leave, new parent ramp-up programs, subsidized back-up child care and more

Family building benefits including adoption and surrogacy expense reimbursement, fertility treatments, and more

Vehicle discount program for employees and family members and management leases

Tuition assistance

Established and active employee resource groups

Paid time off for individual and team community service

A generous schedule of paid holidays, including the week between Christmas and New Year's Day

Paid time off and the option to purchase additional vacation time.
