Job description

We are seeking an experienced Backend Python Developer with strong expertise in building scalable backend systems, developing high‐quality APIs, and deploying cloud‐native applications. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Python, cloud platforms (preferably Azure), containerization, orchestration, and modern backend engineering practices. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain backend services that power mission-critical applications.
Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Python.
  • Build and optimize RESTful APIs using Flask or FastAPI.
  • Deploy, manage, and scale applications on Azure or other cloud platforms.
  • Containerize applications using Docker and orchestrate workloads using Kubernetes.
  • Implement unit tests, ensure code coverage, and maintain high-quality code standards.
  • Work with SQL and NoSQL databases to design schemas, optimize queries, and manage data flows.
  • Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate APIs and ensure seamless end-to-end functionality.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, contribute to sprint planning, and deliver high-quality work within timelines.
  • Maintain clear documentation for APIs, systems, and development processes.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and contribute to performance optimization and scalability improvements.
  • Use Git for version control and collaborate effectively through pull requests and code reviews.

 Mandatory Technical Skills

  • Python Programming: Minimum 5 years of hands-on backend development experience using Python.
  • Cloud Provider Experience: Strong experience with at least one cloud provider (preferably Azure) and Ability to deploy, manage, and scale cloud-based applications.
  • Containerization & Orchestration: Proficiency with Docker for containerization and Strong experience with Kubernetes for deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications.
  • API Development: Proven experience building RESTful APIs using Flask or FastAPI.Understanding of API design principles and best practices.
  • Testing & Code Coverage: Experience with pytest, unittest, or similar frameworks. and Familiarity with code coverage tools and practices.
  • Database Management: Strong experience with SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL).

 Optional Skills

  • CI/CD Pipelines: Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
