Salary range (but not limited to):

94,200 - 115,200

Annual bonus target, based on the base salary, with a potential payout of up to double the target (subject to personal and company performance):

Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc. The salary range presented above is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. However, we encourage candidates who may fall outside of this range to apply as well.


About the role

We are looking for someone with data engineering with a strong software engineering background, analysis and technical leadership backgrounds for our teams.

Our data science lab is one of the largest in the country, and data engineering is one of its main pillars. We have big ambitions and want you to be part of them. Will you join us?

On a day-to-day basis, we primarily use cloud Databricks, Amazon Web Services, and Snowflake. Python is our favorite language! We are responsible for ingesting data from many difference sources, but also build complex transformation steps on the data, to provide our scientists quality data that is ready for machine learning and GENAI.

In this mission, you will be supported by business analysts and architects. We use Agile as our organizational methodology, with the support of our product owners and our scrum masters.


What you'll do here:

  • With your team, you will participate in the analysis design, development, and delivery of efficient, effective, and secure data pipelines.
  • Building on your experience, you will have the opportunity to participate in the implementation of industry best practices.
  • Through your leadership, you will be an agent of change who will grow our data engineering practice to make our lab an industry benchmark.

What you bring to the table:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • 4+ years experience in Software Engineering / Data Engineering / ETL development / Data Warehousing.
  • Understanding of software design pattern, OOP and SOLID principles.
  • Strong proficiency in the Python programming language and the PySpark Framework.
  • Basic understanding of machine learning and artificial intelligence is a nice to have.
  • Bilingualism (French and English) - Need to interact regularly with colleagues from across the country.
  • No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
