The Senior Automation Platform Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the foundational automation platforms and tools that enable scalable and efficient operations across the financial firm's private cloud and virtualization infrastructure. This role ensures the availability, performance, and security of the core automation capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Architect, implement, and maintain the central automation platforms, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.
  • Evaluate and recommend new automation tools and technologies to enhance the platform's capabilities.
  • Develop and manage the underlying infrastructure for automation tools (e.g., servers, databases, networking).
  • Establish and enforce best practices for automation development, code management, and deployment.
  • Collaborate with various engineering and operations teams to define platform requirements and provide automation solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to the automation platform itself.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and training to other automation engineers and users.
  • Contribute to the strategic roadmap and evolution of the automation landscape.

Required Qualifications:
  • Experience: 6-8 years of experience in infrastructure engineering or DevOps, with at least 4 years focused on building and managing enterprise-scale automation platforms.
  • Technical Skills: Strong expertise in one or more automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Terraform). Proficiency in scripting/programming languages (Python, Go, PowerShell). Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI). Solid understanding of private cloud/virtualization platforms (VMware, OpenStack) and their APIs. Knowledge of database systems, networking, and security best practices.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related engineering field, or equivalent practical experience.
