Python Go Developer information

How do Python Go Developers typically balance working with both languages on a day-to-day basis?

Python Go Developers often split their time based on the specific requirements of a project—using Python for tasks like scripting, automation, or rapid prototyping, and Go for building high-performance backend services or microservices. Collaboration with other team members is common, as developers may integrate Python components with Go-based systems, requiring effective communication and code documentation. Staying adaptable and comfortable context-switching between languages is key, and most teams encourage continuous learning to keep skills sharp in both ecosystems.

What are Python Go Developers?

Python Go Developers are software engineers who specialize in writing and maintaining applications using both the Python and Go (Golang) programming languages. These professionals leverage the strengths of both languages—Python for rapid development and scripting, and Go for high-performance, concurrent backend services. Their work often involves building scalable web applications, APIs, or microservices, integrating systems, and optimizing performance. Employers value Python Go Developers for their versatility and ability to choose the best tool for each task.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Python Go Developer, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Python Go Developer, you need strong proficiency in both Python and Go programming languages, experience with software development life cycles, and often a relevant degree in computer science or a related field. Familiarity with frameworks (such as Flask or Gin), RESTful APIs, version control systems like Git, and cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP is typically expected. Effective problem-solving, teamwork, and strong communication skills help developers collaborate and adapt to evolving project needs. Mastery of these skills ensures efficient delivery of high-quality, scalable software solutions in dynamic technical environments.

What is the difference between Python Go Developer vs Java Developer?

AspectPython Go DeveloperJava Developer

Job description

Space is a warfighting domain. True Anomaly seeks those with the talent and ambition to build the technology that secures it.
OUR MISSION
True Anomaly delivers decisive capabilities for space superiority. We build autonomous spacecraft, advanced payloads, mission software, and space-based interceptors - enabling the U.S. and its Allies to secure the space environment and counter threats from the ultimate high ground.
OUR VALUES
  • Be the offset. We create asymmetric advantages with creativity and ingenuity.
  • What would it take? We challenge assumptions to deliver ambitious results.
  • It's the people. Our team is our competitive advantage and we are better together.

YOUR MISSION
At True Anomaly, software forms the backbone of our innovation. As a Level 3 DevOps Engineer, you are expected to demonstrate technical leadership and independence in designing and implementing complex infrastructure solutions. This role requires you to drive initiatives, mentor junior team members, and make architectural decisions that impact our entire technology stack. You will be responsible for establishing best practices and ensuring our infrastructure scales to meet the demands of critical space security applications. This role is ideal for individuals with hands-on experience who are eager to deepen their expertise in cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and container orchestration in secure, classified environments. You'll work closely with program engineering teams, serving as a trusted technical resource while staying connected to our core platform teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead the design and implementation of enterprise-grade CI/CD pipelines, establishing standards and best practices for automation across multiple teams and projects
  • Partner with program engineering teams to support application deployments in secure and classified environments, translating operational needs into requirements for the broader platform organization
  • Architect and optimize container orchestration strategies, including multi-cluster Kubernetes deployments and service mesh implementations
  • Drive cloud infrastructure initiatives independently, making architectural decisions on scalability, reliability, disaster recovery, and cost optimization strategies
  • Design and implement complex Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform, including custom module development, state management strategies, and multi-environment deployments
  • Lead security initiatives by conducting infrastructure security assessments, implementing zero-trust architectures, and ensuring compliance with DoD security standards
  • Establish comprehensive monitoring, alerting, and observability strategies using advanced tooling to ensure system reliability and performance at scale
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership to cross-functional teams on DevOps best practices and methodologies
  • Drive automation initiatives to reduce manual processes and improve operational efficiency across the engineering organization
  • Lead incident response efforts and conduct root cause analysis for complex system failures
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define infrastructure roadmaps and capacity planning strategies

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant technical field
  • 5 to 8 years of progressive experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or infrastructure automation
  • Expert-level proficiency in Linux systems administration and advanced scripting (Bash, Python, Go)
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing complex CI/CD pipelines at scale
  • Deep expertise with containerization (Docker) and production Kubernetes deployments, including custom operator development
  • Extensive experience with multiple cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and advanced Infrastructure as Code implementations
  • Demonstrated ability to design and implement comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions
  • Strong understanding of security best practices, including secrets management, network security, and compliance frameworks
  • Experience leading technical initiatives and mentoring team members
  • U.S. Citizen with an active DoD Secret clearance (TS/SCI eligibility a plus)

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Professional certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Solutions Architect, or GCP Professional Cloud Architect)
  • Experience with GitOps methodologies and tools (ArgoCD, Flux)
  • Knowledge of service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd)
  • Experience with hybrid and multi-cloud architectures
  • Background in aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated industries
  • Experience with infrastructure compliance and auditing tools
  • Contributions to open-source DevOps/infrastructure projects
  • Demonstrated ability to work across teams with competing priorities, communicating technical constraints and advocating for engineering standards in stakeholder-facing settings

COMPENSATION
  • Base Salary: $110,000 - $190,000
  • Equity + Benefits including Health, Dental, Vision, HRA/HSA options, PTO and paid holidays, 401K, Parental Leave

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, location, and experience.
