About your role:
At Fiserv, we are dedicated to transforming financial services technology to benefit our clients. As a Software Development Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software applications. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that align with our business goals and client needs.

• Design and deliver high-quality features and enhancements.
• Own the end-to-end delivery of large features within your team that could span 3+ months.
• Create technical design specifications in collaboration with other members of the engineering team.
• Provide estimates and actively participate in the sprint planning process.
• Produce highly secure solutions.
• Tune the performance of our distributed system to ensure they operate within our SLAs.
• Peer review other engineers' code.
• Mentor other engineers to create good technical solutions to problems and ship code quickly to our customers.

• Experience with Python, Flask, and Django.
• Experience with cloud computing and container-based distributed systems (Docker or Podman).
• Experience working with relational databases (preferably MySQL) and high proficiency with SQL.
• Understanding of higher-level RDBMS concepts (locking and transaction model, isolation levels, deadlocks, etc.).
• Significant experience with at least one dynamically typed, object-oriented programming. language (preference for Python).
• Great understanding of distributed systems and micro-service architecture.
• Hands-on experience in using message brokers such as RabbitMQ.
• Deep understanding of restful API development.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced customer centric environment.
• 5+ years of experience in software development.
• Excellent communication and organization skills.
• Proven experience using code repositories such as GitHub.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent.
• Familiar with Unix-like environments.

• Concevoir et livrer des fonctionnalites et ameliorations de haute qualite.Assurer la livraison complete de grandes fonctionnalites au sein de votre equipe, pouvant s'etendre sur 3 mois ou plus.
• Rediger des specifications techniques en collaboration avec les autres membres de l'equipe d'ingenierie.
• Fournir des estimations et participer activement au processus de planification des sprints.
• Produire des solutions hautement securisees.
• Optimiser la performance de notre systeme distribue afin de garantir son fonctionnement conformement a nos SLA.
• Examiner le code des autres ingenieurs.
• Encadrer les autres ingenieurs pour creer de bonnes solutions techniques aux problemes et livrer rapidement le code a nos clients.

Qualifications et competences

• Experience avec Python, Flask et Django.
• Experience avec l'informatique en nuage et les systemes distribues bases sur des conteneurs (Docker ou Podman).
• Experience de travail avec des bases de donnees relationnelles (de preference MySQL) et grande maitrise de SQL.
• des concepts avances des SGBDR (verrouillage et modele de transaction, niveaux d'isolation, interblocages, etc.).
• Experience significative avec au moins un langage de programmation oriente objet a typage dynamique (preference pour Python).
• Excellente comprehension des systemes distribues et de l'architecture micro-services.
• Experience pratique de l'utilisation de brokers de messages tels que RabbitMQ.
• Comprehension approfondie du developpement d'API RESTful.Capacite demontree a travailler dans un environnement rapide et centre sur le client.
• Plus de 5 ans d'experience en developpement logiciel.
• Excellentes competences en communication et en organisation.Experience averee de l'utilisation de depots de code tels que GitHub.
• Baccalaureat en informatique, genie logiciel ou equivalent.
• Familiarite avec Unix.
