About the Role
We're looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer who loves building application code and scalable distributed systems. You'll help design large-scale data ingestion and processing systems that work alongside our custom AI models, working across our Django backend and NextJS frontend to ship reliable, end-to-end product experiences.
What You'll Do
  • Design and build large-scale data ingestion and processing systems that power our custom AI models
  • Build and ship full stack features across our Python/Django backend and NextJS frontend
  • Work with PostgreSQL, Redis, and Celery to support reliable, scalable background processing
  • Partner with teammates to deploy and operate systems in AWS via Terraform
  • Bring engineering best practices into daily work, from code quality to system design

What We're Looking For
  • You have 5+ years of engineering experience
  • You're comfortable working with Python (especially Django) and relational databases
  • You're comfortable working with React (NextJS / TypeScript)
  • You use AI as part of your everyday engineering work
  • You've seen and can implement engineering best practices

Nice to have
  • Experience with Celery for executing and scheduling background tasks
  • Startup experience

Location
Hybrid. Based in San Francisco. We work from the office 3 days per week.
Compensation
Salary varies by location. All full-time employees receive equity in Scribe. Final offers depend on experience and scope.
