We make employee happiness a key priority by offering a very generous compensation and benefits package, which includes the following:

  • Educational Assistance Program

  • Employee Volunteer Program

Position Classification and schedule: This is an exempt, full time position based in San Diego, California. This role may require daily on-site attendance at either the Moebius office (ZIP code 92130) or NIWC Pacific in Point Loma. Additional on-site presence may be required to support client engagements, demonstrations, meetings, and other business-related activities.

Target start date: June 2026

Compensation upon hire: $95,000 – $115,000

The pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) job responsibilities, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as alignment with market data.

Position Summary:

As a DevSecOps Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the development, delivery, and management of software applications across multiple environments. Working closely with software engineers, system administrators, and government stakeholders, you will design and implement automation solutions through DevOps scripting (e.g., shell, Python, Ruby, PowerShell), maintain CI/CD pipelines, manage cloud and on-premises infrastructure, and integrate security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle. This role supports secure, reliable, and scalable software delivery for mission-critical systems.

Qualified applicants will be emailed a DevOps technical assessment designed by Moebius to complete and submit for interview consideration.

Duties:

  • Research vulnerabilities in U.S. Command and Control (C2) and associated systems (including air, space, cyber, terrestrial, and maritime domains), assess potential impacts on national security, and analyze adversary methods for exploiting such vulnerabilities.

  • Deploy, configure, and maintain software applications, operating systems, data platforms, and DevSecOps environments across development, test, and production systems.

  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automation solutions for software delivery, validation, testing, and configuration management.

  • Develop and improve DevSecOps processes, application lifecycle management practices, and environment governance.

  • Collaborate with application teams and cross-functional stakeholders to support integration and testing efforts.

  • Prepare and deliver technical reports, documentation, and presentations for engineering teams and leadership.

  • Install and configure security features (e.g, Cloud Security Gateway) at all classification levels.

Required Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship is required and non-negotiable. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. Due to customer and contract requirements, only U.S. Citizens will be considered.

  • Candidates must either possess an active Secret-level security clearance or be eligible to obtain and maintain one.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience supporting DevOps or DevSecOps environments, systems engineering, application lifecycle management, software integration, and cybersecurity best practices.

  • Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as Ansible, ArgoCD, Gitlab, Helm, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar.

  • Experience managing applications across multiple environments and implementing automation, configuration management, validation, and governance processes supporting software delivery.

  • Familiarity with Agile, ITIL, or other modern IT frameworks and methodologies.

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a classified, multi-disciplinary environment.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Security+ and Linux+ certifications within 120 days from your date of hire.

  • While some flexibility is available, employees generally work 40 hours per week during core hours from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. PST.
