Job description

AWS Senior Engineer

Location: Torrance, California (Onsite)

Role Overview We are seeking a Senior Engineer with expertise in AWS. This role is focused on designing, developing, and maintaining data integration solutions. The candidate will work on-site to build and support data pipelines, ensuring data quality and optimizing processes for performance and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement data integration workflows using tools such as AWS Glue/EMR, AWS MWAA (Airflow), Lambda, and Redshift.Utilize Pyspark, Apache Spark, and Python for processing large datasets.
  • Ensure data is accurately extracted, transformed, and loaded into target systems.Validate and cleanse data to maintain high quality, implementing monitoring and error handling within data pipelines.
  • Enhance the performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency of data integration processes on AWS cloud infrastructure.Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, fine-tune queries, and optimize data processing to enhance Redshift's performance.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications and coded data pipelines.
  • Collaborate with data analysts and business stakeholders to meet their data requirements.
  • Document all data integration processes, workflows, and technical specifications.
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering, database design, ETL processes, and data warehousing.
  • 3+ years of experience with AWS tools and technologies, including S3, EMR, Glue, Athena, RedShift, RDS, Spectrum, and Airflow.
  • 2+ years of experience with CI/CD tools.
  • 3+ years of experience in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
Technical Skills
  • Knowledge of data storage and processing technologies, including databases and distributed computing frameworks (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).Primary skills include AWS EMR, Glue, Airflow, Iceberg, Redshift, RDS, and CI/CD.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Informatica Cloud (IDMC).
  • Experience with Agentic AI, specifically Amazon Kiro.
