Job Duties

IDR is seeking a Senior AI/ML Engineer to join one of our top clients for an opportunity that is remote in the U.S. This role offers the chance to develop cutting-edge AI solutions that enhance healthcare applications, improving patient outcomes and enterprise workflows.

Position Overview for the Senior AI/ML Engineer:

  • Design, build, and deploy scalable generative AI and machine learning solutions tailored for healthcare and enterprise environments

  • Develop retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines, semantic search, and document ingestion workflows

  • Evaluate and monitor AI model performance, ensuring alignment with safety, accuracy, and relevance standards

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI tools into user-facing applications and cloud-native platforms

  • Implement AI safety guardrails, content moderation, and escalation logic to ensure compliance and safety

Required Qualifications for the Senior AI/ML Engineer:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field; 3+ years of relevant experience

  • Strong Python programming skills and experience with SQL

  • Hands-on experience building generative AI or RAG-based applications

  • Knowledge of large language models (LLMs), prompt engineering, embeddings, and semantic search

  • Experience with ML/NLP model development, evaluation, and performance monitoring

  • Familiarity with LLM evaluation metrics such as answer relevance, faithfulness, hallucination reduction, and citations

  • Experience implementing AI safety guardrails, content moderation, or escalation workflows

  • Proficiency with cloud platforms like GCP, AWS, or OCI, including tools such as Vertex AI, SageMaker, or BigQuery

  • Experience working with healthcare, claims, clinical, regulatory, or enterprise data is preferred
