Job Description:We are seeking an experienced Principal DevOps Engineer to provide technical leadership for a growing infrastructure team focused on building and improving Azure-based platforms. This individual will serve as the technical lead for key initiatives, partnering closely with development teams to identify infrastructure improvements, drive automation, and establish best practices through Infrastructure as Code.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Lead infrastructure initiatives and technical projects across the DevOps team
  • Participate in daily standups and guide technical discussions
  • Review team backlog, identify gaps, and create actionable user stories and tickets
  • Propose platform improvements and present technical solutions to stakeholders
  • Partner with development teams to understand infrastructure needs and prioritize enhancements
  • Build and maintain Azure infrastructure using Terraform and GitHub Actions
  • Ensure all infrastructure changes follow Infrastructure as Code best practices
  • Provide production support for Azure-hosted applications
  • Mentor teammates while growing into a formal people leadership role
  • Support a large-scale enterprise event management platform used to manage events, tours, artist payments, and related financial operations

Minimum Requirements:

  • 8 years of DevOps Engineering experience
  • Extensive, current hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure or AWS
  • Strong Infrastructure as Code expertise using Terraform
  • Extensive experience with GitHub Actions for CI/CD automation
  • Experience supporting production applications
  • Strong Bash and/or Python scripting experience
  • Proven experience leading technical projects and cross-functional initiatives
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence technical direction
  • Passion for mentoring others and growing into a people leadership role
