Job Summary:
Hermeus is a venture-backed defense aviation company focused on rapid iterative prototyping to build high-speed aircraft. The Business Applications Developer will support the design, development, and maintenance of integrations and custom applications across enterprise systems, enabling efficient information flow across various business operations.
Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain integrations across ERP, MES, PLM, and reporting platforms
• Support integrations connecting systems such as NetSuite, Manufacturo, Teamcenter/NX, and enterprise data warehouse solutions
• Build scalable APIs, services, automations, and background processing jobs to support operational workflows
• Enhance existing integrations for improved performance, reliability, maintainability, and scalability
• Develop reusable integration components, utilities, and frameworks for common business workflows and data objects
• Implement monitoring, alerting, logging, and automated error handling for integration processes
• Troubleshoot integration failures, data inconsistencies, and synchronization issues across systems
• Develop and maintain custom applications, scripts, workflows, and platform extensions supporting business operations
• Build customizations across enterprise platforms including ERP, MES, and PLM systems
• Support development activities involving SuiteScript, REST APIs, SQL procedures, C# services, Python utilities, and other platform-specific technologies
• Develop data transformation, validation, and automation logic supporting operational processes
• Participate in architecture and technical design discussions for new systems and enhancements
• Support secure and scalable deployment patterns across development, test, and production environments
• Work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, and Operations teams to understand business processes and translate requirements into technical solutions
• Participate in testing, troubleshooting, deployment, and production support activities
• Document integration logic, technical architecture, deployment procedures, and support processes for maintainability and operational continuity
• Collaborate with external vendors, implementation partners, and internal stakeholders on enterprise systems initiatives
• Support continuous improvement efforts across operational workflows and enterprise applications
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field. Equivalent work experience will be considered
• 3+ years of development experience in enterprise application integration or customization
• Strong programming skills in Java, C#, JavaScript, or Python, with proficiency in SQL, and the ability to adapt quickly to platform-specific languages and APIs (SuiteScript, C# SDKs, REST services)
• Experience developing API integrations (REST/SOAP) and working with JSON/XML
• Proven ability to design and deliver scalable solutions independently
• Demonstrated ability to learn new enterprise platforms and frameworks quickly
• Experience customizing or extending packaged enterprise systems – like NetSuite is a huge plus
• Familiarity with source control (Git) and deployment best practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred:
• Experience with enterprise systems such as NetSuite, Manufacturo, Teamcenter, SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, Plex, Tulip, iBASEt, or similar platforms
• Experience developing SuiteScript customizations within NetSuite
• Experience building integrations between ERP, MES, and PLM platforms
• Familiarity with manufacturing, aerospace, or complex hardware environments
• Exposure to enterprise data warehouse (EDW), reporting, or analytics environments
• Familiarity with middleware and integration platforms such as Dell Boomi, Celigo, MuleSoft, or custom integration frameworks
• Experience supporting operational manufacturing workflows and enterprise process automation
• Motivated by solving operational challenges with practical, scalable technology solutions
