Job description

Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join the Radar Performance and Analysis team supporting the AN/TPY-2 missile defense radar program. This onsite position is located in Woburn, MA.

Responsibilities
  • Parse, process, and analyze raw sensor data, tracks, and detections to evaluate algorithm performance, target discrimination, and tracking accuracy.
  • Conduct scenario‑based analysis to identify and resolve technical observations.
  • Perform system performance assessments and validation testing to ensure compliance with requirements and specifications.
  • Lead system‑level requirements analysis, decomposition, and traceability, managing the full verification and validation lifecycle.
  • Establish, monitor, and report on Key Performance Metrics (KPMs) and Technical Performance Measures (TPMs), proactively identifying performance trends, variances, and system risks.
  • Develop and maintain robust MATLAB and Python scripts to automate large‑scale data ingestion, statistical modeling, and performance report generation.
  • Translate complex data findings into clear technical presentations, dashboards, and documentation for program leadership and military stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, typically a STEM degree.
  • Experience in test methodology, data analysis, scripting, and/or software development.
  • Proficiency with MATLAB, Python, Perl, C/C++, Unix/LINUX.
  • Experience in radar systems engineering, signal processing analysis, or performance assessment within a defense framework preferred.
  • Advanced MATLAB and Python scripting skills for automated data processing and visualization.
  • Familiarity with systems engineering tools such as IBM DOORS.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for large‑scale tactical data feeds.
  • Excellent communication, technical writing, oral presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work within Agile Scrum practices and in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
  • PhD or master’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Business, or related discipline preferred.
  • U.S. citizenship required; active transferable DoD Secret or higher security clearance required prior to start.
  • Existing DoD Security Clearance (Secret or higher) required.
Benefits & Compensation

Salary range: $86,800 – $165,200. Potential benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑term and long‑term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, paid time off, holidays, parental leave, and other programs; specific benefits depend on the business unit and employment agreement.
