Job Description Position Summary Data Engineers provide businesses with data-driven solutions to help improve processes, decision-making, and overall business performance. Primary focus is to gather, analyze, interpret, and present data to help businesses make strategic decisions. A data engineer is responsible for designing data solution frameworks using Hadoop tools and technologies. They are also responsible for ingesting data from databases, streams, and files and processing the same with Hadoop, SQL database, Spark, and IoT. Data engineers develop programs using Python and Scala to clean and process raw data. They design software codes for various cases using Big Data technologies and Python. Data engineers collaborate with data scientists to improve data transparency and enable better decision-making processes.
