Job description

Position: Tax Contractor
Location: Remote
Duration: Long Term


Job Description
As a Tax Contractor, you will be responsible for providing specialized tax services and support to ensure compliance and optimize tax strategies. Preparing and reviewing tax returns and related documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations. Conducting tax research and analysis to provide insights and recommendations on various tax issues and strategies. Assisting in the development and implementation of tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities. Collaborating with clients and internal teams to address tax-related inquiries and provide technical support. Keeping up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure ongoing compliance and inform strategic decisions.
Must Have Experience on

  • Trade Data Knowledge
  • Familiarity with Customs Automated Commercial Environment (“ACE”) system, particularly Entry Summary and Reporting modules
  • Familiarity with supplemental tariffs, such as reciprocal tariffs, Section 232, etc.
  • Experience working with Chapter 99, Subchapter III of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (“HTSUS”)
  • Tech/Data General
  • Experience with basic Microsoft Excel (or equivalent) formulas (VLOOKUP, SUMIF/COUNTIF, etc.)
  • Experience in at least one of the following areas: Data wrangling, Data engineering, Data visualization, Data analytics, Data science
  • Understanding of how to join, filter, append, and summarize datasets
  • Understanding of different data types (string/text, numeric, Boolean, etc.)

Preferred:

  • Experience with Microsoft Excel (or equivalent) array functions (SORT, FILTER, UNIQUE, etc.
  •  Experience with at least one of the following: Alteryx, Microsoft Power Apps (Power Query, Power BI, etc.) or equivalent, Tableau, SQL, Programming languages (Python, R, VBA, etc.)
