For our Technical and Engineering Services Support bid concerning Airborne Networking and Advance Development (AN&AD), METI is currently looking for an experienced Data Scientist. Please note that this position is contingent upon contract award.

Duties

  • Develop, analyze, or deploy data-driven solutions.
  • Utilize data analysis, visualization, or decision support tools.
  • Implement code using Python or similar programming languages.
  • Manage code using version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Work with machine learning or AI-enabled systems.
  • Apply natural language processing or large language models.
  • Deploy applications in operational environments (afloat/ashore).
  • Work with containerized environments (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
  • Support cybersecurity considerations in software development.
  • Collaborate with DOW or NAVAIR program offices.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Master's degree in data science, Analytics, Computer Science.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience developing, analyzing, or deploying data-driven solutions.
  • Experience with data analysis, visualization, or decision support tools.
  • Experience with Python or similar programming languages.
  • Experience using version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Minimum 5+ years' experience with machine learning or AI enabled systems.
  • Must have an Active Secret Clearance

Desired:

  • Experience with natural language processing or large language models.
  • Experience deploying applications in operational environments (afloat/ashore).
  • Experience with containerized environments (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
