Role Summary

The Front Office Investments Equity Technology team is seeking an Associate Software Engineer to join their team.

You will work closely with Quants, Portfolio Managers and Analysts. You will be involved in design and technical discussions with the team and quants, to develop solutions for the PMs/Analysts to make business critical decisions in a timely basis

Responsibilities

  • Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines and workflows for the TRPIM Quant team and Portfolio Managers.
  • Work with large datasets to extract insights and support business decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver solutions.
  • Support cloud-based data infrastructure, primarily on AWS.
  • Contribute to data quality, governance, and documentation efforts.

  • Builds industry knowledge to support software development activities
  • You understand the work of the team

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • Proficiency in Python for data manipulation and scripting.
  • Experience or familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS), such as S3, Lambda, SQS, SNS, etc.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Knows of relevant and modern software methodologies (e.g., Scrum) and understands their role as part of software delivery team
  • Actively seeks feedback and guidance to improve technical skills (e.g., through submitting work for code review)
  • Demonstrates competence in at least one programming language or technology
  • Works with existing data models and schemas Practices automated testing
  • Identifies technical debt and recommends solutions for remediation

Preferred:

  • Experience with R for statistical analysis or data visualization.
  • Exposure to SQL and data modeling concepts.
  • Internship or academic project experience in data engineering, analytics, or cloud computing.

Work Flexibility

This role is eligible for hybrid work, with up to three days per week from home.
