Role : Python Developer with Strong React Experience

Location: Chicago, IL โ€“ Onsite

Exp: 12-14+ years

 

Overview :

JPMC is seeking a highly skilled Python Developer with strong frontโ€‘end expertise in React to support the development of enterpriseโ€‘grade applications within a fastโ€‘paced financial environment. The ideal candidate will work across both backend and frontend components, building scalable APIs, integrating complex data workflows, and delivering highโ€‘performance UI features. This role requires handsโ€‘on experience with modern Python frameworks, Reactโ€‘based frontโ€‘end development, and cloudโ€‘native engineering practices.

 

Key Responsibilities :

Backend Development (Python)

  • Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Python and modern frameworks (Flask, FastAPI, Django).
  • Build scalable RESTful APIs and microservices to support internal banking applications.
  • Integrate backend services with databases, messaging systems, and internal JPMC platforms.
  • Optimize application performance, reliability, and security in alignment with enterprise standards.

Frontend Development (React)

  • Develop responsive, highโ€‘performance UI components using React, Redux, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript.
  • Collaborate with UX teams to translate wireframes and design specifications into functional interfaces.
  • Ensure seamless integration between frontend and backend services.
  • Implement reusable components, state management patterns, and UI performance optimizations.

Cloud, DevOps & CI/CD

  • Work with cloudโ€‘native environments (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or internal JPMC cloud platforms).
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps.
  • Support containerization and deployment using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Ensure code quality through automated testing, linting, and continuous integration.

Collaboration & Delivery

  • Partner with crossโ€‘functional teams including Product, QA, DevOps, and Architecture.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and technical design discussions.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and support ongoing enhancements.
  • Follow JPMCโ€™s engineering standards, security guidelines, and compliance requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 12+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Strong handsโ€‘on experience with Python (Flask, FastAPI, Django).
  • Advanced proficiency in React, JavaScript/TypeScript, Redux, and modern UI frameworks.
