Job description

The Production Assembler is responsible for the production and assembly of pyrotechnical cloud seeding flares for various weather modification applications.

Ice Crystal Engineering manufactures pyrotechnic cloud seeding flares for hail suppression, rain enhancement and snowpack augmentation. ICE has proven to be the most reliable manufacture of pyrotechnic cloud seeding flares ever produced around the globe. All ICE equipment has been designed for harsh aircraft flight conditions and proven in the field on numerous operational and research programs around the world.

Position: Production Assembler

Reports to: Director Production, Operations

Location: Kindred, ND

Essential Job Functions:

  • Measure and weigh ingredients to certify accurate chemical amounts are packaged into each flare during multiple phases of production.
  • Safely and accurately conduct operations in accordance with established policies and procedures that comply with local, state, and federal safety requirements.
  • Load and unload items from machines, carts, and dollies.
  • Handle equipment starting and stopping activities.
  • Recognize and remove damaged or faulty items from the production line.
  • Ensure tools and equipment is clean and maintained properly at the end of each shift.
  • Store finished items safely.
  • Adhere product labeling on finished items for packaging.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Strong math skills for weighing chemicals.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be detail-orientated.
  • Must be available to work the scheduled hours with the possibility of overtime.

Physical Demands:

  • Regular lifting and moving of objects of 20-30 lbs.
  • Frequent standing, bending, lifting, pulling, and pushing.
