Job Description:

Serves as application expert (SME) for Material Handling systems, and when defining options/alternative for proposals to meet new IT enabling opportunities.

Solid understanding of IT applications packaged and custom developed solutions, infrastructure and operational components, specifically applications in the following areas: Warehouse Management Systems, Warehouse Execution Systems, Warehouse Control Systems, Integrated Transportation Conveyor Systems, Automated Unit Packing Systems, Automated Storage Retrieval Systems, Putwalls and other integrated automation equipment.

Integrating Material Handling solutions in multi-channel fulfillment environments.

Ability to design and review software for large complexity business problems or interconnected medium complexity business problems within a project framework.

Ability to work on software delivery for large complexity business problems within and across projects or within one or more systems. Lead external MHE providers in defining technical specifications and development efforts as appropriate. Able to advise others on development of features or components. MHE Delivery Engineer analyzes project requirements and solution design to assure that Material Handling systems are functionally appropriate, technically sound and well integrated in accordance with business user requirements, methods and standards throughout the project life cycle. This role will support CCLO (Cross Channel Logistics Optimization) project which enables online and retail fulfillment out of the same DC without compromising the efficiencies for each channel.

Serves as application expert (SME) for Material Handling systems, and when defining options/alternative for proposals to meet new IT enabling opportunities.

Solid understanding of IT applications packaged and custom developed solutions, infrastructure and operational components, specifically applications in the following areas: Warehouse Management Systems, Warehouse Control Systems, Integrated Transportation Conveyor Systems, Automated Unit Packing Systems, Automated Storage Retrieval Systems, and other integrated automation equipment.

Integrating Material Handling solutions in multi-channel fulfillment environments.

Desired Experience:

At least 4+ years of experience WMS development. Experience with one of the following vendor management systems Pyramid, TGW, Dematic, or Beumer

Experience designing and reviewing software for large complexity business problems or interconnected medium complexity business problems within a project framework.

Experience managing and actively contributing to MHE delivery work by vendors and in-house development teams, including design, integration testing, onsite commissioning, end to end testing, post-deployment support.

Experience working with Project teams, Operations, and Support teams to assure timely resolution to defects identified during the software development lifecycle.

Collaborates and partners with architects in delivering application solutions.

Ability to technically understand how to support a multi-environment development, integration methods and tools, reporting and delivery in relevant application areas.

Experience integrating Material Handling solutions in multi-channel fulfillment environments.

Expert knowledge of the Software Delivery Lifecycle. Good understanding of Agile and SCRUM methodology.

Advanced knowledge of software development practice, concepts and technology obtained though formal training and work experience.

Experience with Object Oriented Design and Development or Component-based Development.

Excellent oral and written communication skills, including strong technical writing skills.
