Pyramid Construction Jobs in Virginia (NOW HIRING)

Summary: Provide oversight of new capital/upgrade projects/site contractors/equipment vendors. Record all site activities for the term of the construction schedule from mobilization to the site through issuance of the Certificate of Occupancy (COO). Manage the owners (Pyramid) Final Punch List and completion of the Building/Site Performance Testing. Record all Vendor and Building Materials moving on and off the site. Attend and record all construction project meetings on site.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

         May Represent Multiple Projects at the same time

         Witness and record all on site New Construction/Equipment installation activities

         Witness and record all existing site renovation/upgrade projects assigned

         Understand Construction/Equipment Installation Schedules (update weekly in Smartsheet Schedules as required)

         Witness and record job site progress. Follow Monthly Field Pay Progress Estimates for Contractors/Vendors.

         Witness and record, Construction/Equipment/installation conflicts/issues and report up to your supervisor with site resolution or solutions

• Follow construction budget by tracking capital budget and annual operating information, identifying variances, and monitoring project expenses

         Maintain Daily Construction Site Information Reports

         Provide Change Order coordination and cost estimating

         Proactively identify, mitigate, and track recurring construction issues

         Monitor all onsite construction for compliance with Federal, State and Local building Code and Life Safety 101 and OSHA Regulations

         Be present and record regular construction site & safety meetings with GC, PM, Project Superintendent and Contractors on an ongoing basis regarding project objectives and progress.

         Check daily security condition of the project buildings and property, immediately report any abnormalities

         Check daily the safety conditions of the project buildings and property immediately report any abnormalities

         Check daily the overall conditions as it pertains to contractors' cleanliness, material & equipment storage immediately report any abnormalities

         Project knowledge -  know all site utility shut off and discounts make daily safety checks at each location

         Project knowledge - Know all Fire Safety equipment locations and shut off make daily safety checks at each location

         Project knowledge - Have contact for all local Fire & Life Safety responders

         Project knowledge - Have all utility provider contact information including account numbers

         Completion of all desired training as designated by the company and/or licensing body

         Must exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality with regard to all company information

         Attend student support meetings and provide input as needed.

         Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Education, Licensure, & Experience

Must be able to interpret design/construction drawings/construction methods

Minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry on project sites

High School Diploma is required

Degree and/or certifications preferred in business, construction management, or engineering

Valid driver's license

Computer proficient, with experience in MS Excel, Project, and Word

May be required to travel to out of area/state projects on a Per Diem Cost Basis, Leaving Mondays and returning home on Fridays each week for the duration of the project assignment. Traveling to and from the Job site is a paid Per Diem (Living) Expense.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to talk or hear. The employee is regularly required to sit, stand, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is required at moderate levels to walk, stoop, twist, kneel, or crouch. The employee must lift and/ or move up to 40 pounds.

Specific vision levels required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

This position is remote with the frequent need to travel to corporate facilities and assigned construction sites. Position requires overnight stays and weekly daily presents at assigned construction sites. The noise level at corporate facilities and offices is usually moderately quiet & indoors. The noise level on construction sites is commensurate with normal construction noise levels. Incumbents may be exposed to viruses, disease, and/or infection from clients in the work environment. Incumbent may be exposed to traumatic situations (i.e. psychiatric).

Construction Work Environment

This position will require regional/local project travel and weekly overnight stays.  This position will be scheduled based on project need & a company vehicle and travel expense plan will be included to travel between projects. As a Project Representative, you may work indoors in an office as well as outdoors at construction sites.
