Job description

Woodfield Country Club is seeking a skilled golf course Grounds Worker. Responsibilities include maintaining property grounds and turf of golf course in playing condition as directed by supervisors. We provide competitive pay based on experience and skill level.

Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Connects hose and sprinkler systems at designated points on course to irrigate turf. Plants, trims, and sprays trees and shrubs.

Safely operates equipment and mowers and pluggers used for various course maintenance needs. Cleans machinery after each use. Inspects machinery/reports equipment problems to supervisor.

Loads and unloads materials. Trims trees and removes cuttings. Collects and empties litter cans.

Cleans gutters, drains, and culverts. Mow greens, fairways, tees and rough. May operate smaller equipment as directed by his/her supervisor.

Ensures that the equipment cooling system is working at all times; refills fuel and oil daily; cleans equipment daily, and reports equipment problems or failures to Equipment Manager immediately. Provides basic preventive maintenance on equipment as directed by the equipment manager or supervisor and returns equipment to the designated location at the maintenance facility. Performs other duties as directed by his/her supervisor.

REQUIREMENTS Must have good written and verbal communication skills Must have valid and current Florida driver's license Must have experience with driving mowers, tractors, and push mowers.
