Job description

Express Employment is seeking Custodiansto help maintain cleanliness and order in residence halls on Purdueโ€™s campus. This role is essential in providing a safe, sanitary, and comfortable living environment for students. If you take pride in keeping spaces clean and organized, we want to hear from you!

Pay:Starting at $15.50/hr

Schedule:Monday-Friday, Day Shift. Available to work a rotating weekend shift.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting
  • Empty trash and recycling bins, ensuring proper waste disposal
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms, including restocking supplies
  • Wipe down and disinfect common areas, lounges, and study spaces
  • Clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces
  • Report maintenance or repair needs to the supervisor
  • Follow established cleaning protocols and safety guidelines

Qualifications

  • Previous custodial or housekeeping experience preferred
  • Familiarity with cleaning products and industrial cleaning techniques a plus
  • Ability to work independently and follow instructions
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a routine cleaning schedule
  • Good physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks
  • Availability to work weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) regularly
