Are you ready to take the next step in your career and play a key role in shaping purchasing and supply chain performance at Haile Gold Mine?
OceanaGold is seeking a Senior Supply Chain Specialist to lead the Purchasing function and provide strategic support across purchasing, supply chain, supplier management, compliance, and continuous improvement.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced purchasing and supply chain professional to lead a team of Buyers, strengthen supplier partnerships, improve processes, and collaborate with operational and Group teams to deliver value across the business.
What You’ll Do:

  • Lead and oversee the Purchasing function and a team of Buyers.
  • Source and purchase materials and services required by the business.
  • Partner with Procurement and stakeholders to evaluate suppliers and negotiate pricing, contracts, and service agreements.
  • Maintain strong supplier relationships and ensure compliance with procurement and company requirements.
  • Oversee purchase orders, material forecasting, vendor applications, and supplier performance.
  • Develop and report on purchasing and supply chain KPIs, spend analysis, cost savings, risks, and opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with company governance, audit, and reporting requirements.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve purchasing and supply chain processes.
  • Standardize processes and champion efficiency initiatives, including automation and data-driven decision-making.
  • Provide updates and recommendations to site and senior leadership.
Qualifications

What You’ll Bring:

  • At least 5 years of proven purchasing and supply chain experience, including experience leading and directing these functions.
  • Strong knowledge of purchasing, supply chain, materials management, and continuous improvement.
  • Experience preparing and reviewing contracts, negotiating terms, and managing invoicing.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, and organizational skills.
  • Experience within a major mining company or similar operational environment.
  • Advanced communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively partner with stakeholders across the business.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
