Position Overview

We are looking for a Receiver who is highly organized, detail oriented, reliable, and passionate about supporting clean, efficient restaurant operations.

The Receiver plays a critical role in protecting product quality, inventory accuracy, food safety, and daily kitchen readiness. This person is responsible for receiving deliveries, checking orders against invoices and purchase records, inspecting product quality, organizing storage areas, and communicating any issues clearly and quickly to the culinary and management teams.

The ideal Receiver takes pride in organization, understands the importance of accurate receiving, and works with urgency while maintaining calm, clean, and professional standards. This role requires strong attention to detail, sound judgment, proper product handling, and a team first approach.

The Receiver must be available to work varied shifts, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.


Compensation: $19.00 to $23.00 per hour
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Receive all restaurant deliveries with accuracy, urgency, and professionalism.
  • Check products against invoices, packing slips, purchase orders, and internal order records as directed.
  • Inspect product quality, quantity, temperature, packaging, dating, and condition at the time of delivery.
  • Communicate shortages, substitutions, damaged product, quality concerns, and delivery discrepancies to chefs and managers in real time.
  • Label, date, organize, and store all products according to company standards, FIFO procedures, and food safety requirements.
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of walk ins, dry storage, receiving areas, shelving, and related BOH spaces.
  • Support inventory accuracy through proper product rotation, storage discipline, and clear communication with the culinary team.
  • Assist with invoice organization, receiving logs, credit requests, and product documentation as directed.
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, allergen, temperature control, and safe lifting procedures.
  • Break down boxes, remove trash, maintain clear pathways, and keep receiving areas safe and orderly.
  • Support prep, porter, stewarding, and general BOH operations when needed.
  • Uphold Catch Hospitality standards for cleanliness, professionalism, teamwork, and respect.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the duties and responsibilities satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability required.

  • Ability to work independently while also supporting the broader BOH team.
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced restaurant environment with changing priorities.
  • Able to work in a standing or walking position for extended periods of time.

Preferred Qualifications
  • At least 1 year of receiving, stockroom, porter, prep, inventory, or restaurant support experience.
  • Experience in a high volume, upscale, fine dining, hotel, or hospitality environment is a plus.
  • Experience checking invoices, purchase orders, credits, and vendor deliveries is a plus.
  • Knowledge of produce, seafood, meat, dairy, dry goods, beverage, and specialty products is a plus.
  • ServSafe or similar food safety certification is a plus.
  • Stable work history and a proven track record of dependability.

Physical Requirements

The physical demands for this position include seeing, hearing, speaking, reaching, standing, walking, bending, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and moving intermittently during working hours. This position may require frequently lifting up to 25 pounds and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds. These physical requirements may be accomplished with or without reasonable accommodations.
