ACI Mechanical is a full-service, merit-shop, design-build commercial and industrial mechanical contractor. Our company was founded in 1945 with a solid commitment to customer service that still exists today. The ACI Team comprises of engineers, project managers, skilled welders, pipe fitters, sheet metal mechanics, service technicians, and support staff who are all dedicated to serving our clients.

Job Summary:

ACI Mechanical is seeking to hire a traveling, Project Manager whose duties include but are not limited to the total and complete management of all aspects of specific assigned jobs and all additional duties as requested by the job supervisor.

Duties:

  • Serve as the bid captain for projects that you may manage
  • Provide input during estimate review
  • Review the project for constructability concerns and prefabrication opportunities.
  • Lead the bid review process and get input from fellow team members as needed to ensure the estimate is complete and correct
  • Lead the job planning process both in the office and field
  • Prepare all required forms and contract documents
  • Involved in preconstruction, scheduling, purchasing, management, post job review, and other meetings
  • Communicate with internal and external individuals concerning all phases of jobs
  • Prepare estimates for change-orders
  • Prepare and review all contracts, subcontracts, shop drawings, submittals, etc.
  • Prepare construction schedules, schedule of values, etc.
  • Prepare operating manuals, warranty information, lien waivers, sales tax forms, progress billings, etc.
  • Prepare monthly pay applications
  • Pursue collection of billings diligently and reduce retainage when possible
  • Select subcontractors, issue subcontracts, request required information, etc.
  • Review and approve all material and subcontract invoices
  • Be involved with labor management, material purchasing and delivery, punch list items, etc.
  • Serve as Quality Control Manager on assigned jobs
  • Implement and enforce Safety Plan as needed
  • Delegate to Assistant Project Manager when required
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Degree in project management, construction or other related fields or 8-10 years of experience in construction or related fields, preferred
  • Ability to read, write, hear, and communicate with customers, vendors, employees, and others in English
  • Driving record meets company requirements
  • Successful passing of pre-employment drug screening required

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:

May be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, vibrations, loud noises, and more within OSHA standards when visited the jobsite. Employees may be exposed to outdoor conditions that include inclement weather such as heat, humidity, cold, wind, and dust. May be expected to carry up to 30 pounds regularly and 50 pounds occasionally, stand for long periods of time, walk for moderate-to-long distances on varying surface conditions, climb, crawl, crouch, reach, grip, push, and pull without issue.
