Purchasing Specialist
Smith is looking for a Purchasing Specialist to join our SMITH team. With a reputation of more than 40 years of excellence, Smith is leading the way in electronic component distribution. Our diverse portfolio of pieces can be found in consumer electronics, automotive, medical devices, solar, and aerospace & defense.
Essential Job Duties
  • Work collaboratively with internal customers (ie. Sales) to increase revenue and maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Develop, establish, build and maintain solid vendor relationships.
  • Required sourcing, price negotiation and expedition of purchase orders (POs).
  • Execute and manage POs and dispute resolutions in a timely manner.
  • Develop and demonstrate working knowledge of Smith's purchasing methodology, commodities, services, industry standards, and terminology.
  • Interface with Operations and Accounting departments to ensure PO's are processed seamlessly and meet the needs of the customer.
