Job description

Purchasing Coordinator
Triumvirate Environmental, one of the largest environmental services firms in North America, is seeking a Purchasing Coordinator to join our Purchasing team at our corporate office in Somerville, MA.
This highly motivated and detail-oriented individual will support the Purchasing team in coordinating procurement activities and ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of purchasing requests. The ideal candidate is organized, comfortable working with data, and able to manage multiple priorities while providing excellent service to internal stakeholders.

This position reports to the Associate Director of Procurement Operations.
This position will be fully onsite for the first 90 days. After 90 days, the position will follow a hybrid schedule approved by the manager and Human Resources.
Responsibilities:
  • Audit purchase requisitions to ensure accuracy, compliance with company policies, and timely resolution of any issues
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for internal stakeholders regarding purchasing requests, order status, and procurement processes.
  • Assist with supplier onboarding and ensure all required documentation is completed and maintained accurately.
  • Maintain purchasing metrics to support decision-making and performance management.
  • Promote adherence to procurement policies and best practices while providing excellent customer service to internal stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements that enhance efficiency, compliance, and overall procurement effectiveness.
  • Perform other procurement-related duties, projects, and administrative activities as assigned to support departmental objectives and business needs.

Basic Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance or a related field.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a demonstrated commitment to accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable working with data, reports, and business systems.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without future sponsorship.

Preferred Requirements:
  • Experience with Oracle Fusion, particularly the Procurement module and reporting tools such as OTBI and BI Publisher.
  • Exposure to procure-to-pay processes, purchase orders, supplier onboarding, or procurement operations.
  • Familiarity with procurement KPIs, spend analytics, supplier performance, or cost-savings reporting.
  • Experience with data analysis, reporting, or data modeling.
  • Experience with SQL, including CTEs and window functions.
