Job description

Quality Assurance Manager

Duties:

  • Establishes, operates, maintains and improves the quality management system.
  • Assures quality is integrated into all aspects of operations.
  • Responsible for publication and maintenance of the quality management system Quality Manual.
  • Collects and analyzes objective quality evidence and produces necessary reports to demonstrate system goals and continuous improvement.
  • Provides oversight of quality management system operations and maintains and operates the Internal Quality Audit Program.
  • Manages correspondence with suppliers/vendors for all quality assurance issues or concerns.
  • Ensures personnel are properly and regularly trained in process control techniques and inspections.
  • As necessary, conducts quality control checks, quality control inspections and final product inspections.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with AS9100 and ISO quality management system requirements.
  • Acts as the Management Representative for all AS9100 and ISO issues.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science or equivalent RF Microwave industry work experience.
  • Knowledgeable in industry drawing standards and Military Specifications
  • Experience assessing customer specifications, statements of work; etc.
  • Working with purchasing staff to establish quality requirements from external suppliers;
  • Defining quality procedures in conjunction with operating staff;
  • Setting up and maintaining controls and documentation procedures;
  • Identifying relevant quality-related training needs and delivering training;
  • Collating and analyzing performance data and charts against defined parameters;
  • Ensuring tests and procedures are properly understood, carried out and evaluated and that product modifications are investigated if necessary;
  • Supervising technical staff in carrying out tests and checks;
  • Writing technical and management systems reports;
  • Liaising with customers' auditors and ensuring the execution of corrective action and compliance with customers' specifications;
  • Establishing standards of service for customers
