Description

O ur Company: SpecialtyRx is a Long-Term Care pharmacy providing pharmaceutical services to long term care facilities and assisted living communities. SpecialtyRx takes pride in delivering personalized care and quality pharmacy services.

Responsibilities:.

  • Perform duties assigned by the Regional Purchasing Manager.

  • Purchaser is responsible for coordinating and managing procurement of medications and pharmacy supplies.

  • Coordinate effective purchasing, optimal inventory levels.

  • Handle continuous availability of medications to support efficient pharmacy operations.

  • Verify product availability, pricing and expiration dates

  • Receiving order from all vendors and correctly process into system

  • Responsible for inventory, place orders, checks drugs & supplies

  • Assist with department training, as needed.

  • Work closely with pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and distributors.

  • Process purchasing reports and maintain accurate inventory levels.

  • Responsible for pharmacy standards, maintained and adherence policies.

  • Team player and collaborate with others to support the goals of the pharmacy.

  • Complete any other task assigned by the Regional Purchasing Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Pharmacy Technician experience, preferred

  • Efficient computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook) proficient

  • Frameworks experience preferred

  • Training is available for those interested in the role

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

  • Ability to work independently, accurately, and effectively.

  • Ability to occasionally perform light lifting (up to 25 pounds) and repetitious physical activity.

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Ability to travel, as needed

  • Must be able to multi-task
