Job Summary

The Gruber Companies are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Purchasing and Inventory Manager to lead our procurement and inventory operations.

In this vital role, you will oversee the development and cross training for our purchasing and warehouse teams, along with sourcing of materials, managing supplier relationships, negotiating pricing, and ensuring optimal inventory levels to support manufacturing and supply chain efficiency.

Your expertise will drive cost-effective purchasing strategies, provide employee development, centralize procurement processes, and enhance overall supply chain performance.

Duties
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals, focusing on sourcing, supplier management, and contract negotiation.
  • Manage end-to-end purchasing activities.
  • Oversee inventory management processes, including inventory control, forecasting, MRP (Material Requirements Planning), and stock optimization to prevent shortages or excess.
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers to secure favorable pricing, delivery terms, and service levels while maintaining strong vendor relationships.
  • Coordinate logistics and supply chain activities to ensure efficient movement of materials from suppliers to manufacturing or distribution centers.
  • Monitor supplier performance through regular evaluations, addressing issues proactively to maintain high standards of quality and reliability.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to align procurement activities with production schedules and demand forecasts.
  • Maintain comprehensive procurement records, contracts, and supplier documentation in compliance with company policies.
