Overview:

The Automotive Account Inventory Clerk plays a critical dual role in both financial and inventory management within a dealership. They perform a variety of general accounting and clerical support tasks related to inventory, dealer trades, wholesales and cross training with other desks to ensure proper coverage at all times.

Responsibilities:

Enter all vehicle information into the dealership management system (DMS) and other inventory tracking systems.

Verify all required vehicle information, including VIN, model, color, options, costs and vehicle status.

Process vehicle inventory transactions, including dealer trades, transfers, wholesale purchases and direct purchases.

Journal accounting for vehicle purchases.

Assist with maintaining accurate floorplan and inventory schedules.

Issue checks for lien payoffs and submit to financial institutions.

Follow up with lenders for verification of payment received and update on title status

Receive and mail titles/MSOs as needed

Pay flooring daily for traded and sold units

The approximate pay range for this position starts at $20.00-$23.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Requirements

Qualifications:

- Previous automotive or motorsports dealership experience preferred.

- Inventory, title, accounting or administrative experience in an automotive or motorsports dealership is strongly preferred.

- Strong organizational, time management and communication skills.

- Excellent accuracy and attention to detail.

- Understands deadlines and able to apply the appropriate sense of urgency to tasks.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook

- Knowledge of CDK and/or Lightspeed a plus.
