Job description

This is a project-based employee role supporting the initial development phase of our autonomous vehicle platforms. Development phases of this nature typically span up to project completion (typically 2-4 years), though scope and duration are driven by business needs.
JOB SUMMARY
The Inventory Specialist is responsible for coordinating and executing all domestic shipping and receiving activities, including logistics coordination and required documentation. Assist with local supplier pickups and deliveries as required. Provides operational support for warehousing, inventory handling, and order fulfillment activities. Receives, unpacks, inspects, and stores incoming materials and supplies. Works under the supervision of the Purchasing Manager, resolving routine issues independently and escalating more complex matters as appropriate.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assembles orders
  • Complete all required documentation for domestic shipments
  • Complete receiving duties for incoming shipments
  • Prepare goods for shipping
  • Track inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely arrival
  • File claims for missing packages/damage
  • Reconcile reimbursements
  • Help pull parts as needed for production
  • Help with cycle counting and inventory management as needed
  • Assist in any and all other Purchasing tasks as assigned

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE, JOB SKILLS
  • High School Diploma Required
  • (Associate or Bachelor's in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.)
  • 1 year of Shipping and Receiving or Inventory Experience (preferred)
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Exceptional computer skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with Export Documentation (preferred)

  • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to work in both office and warehouse environments, including extended periods at a computer workstation.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and exchange information in person, via phone, and through other electronic means.
  • Ability to lift and move materials with normal industrial safe measures and safety precautions
