Reports To: Company Support Leader
Location: Crestwood
Travel: Up to two weeks per year


Role Summary


The Purchasing and Pricing Manager owns company-wide purchasing strategy, pricing execution,
vendor relationships, and product selection. This role balances availability, margin dollars, and growth
through disciplined, data-driven decisions that support branch teams and sales while protecting
profitability. The role is hybrid in nature, combining strategic ownership with hands-on execution.

Purchasing and Pricing Assistant


Core Accountabilities
Own company-wide purchasing strategy and execution
Own pricing structure, price file accuracy, and pricing programs
Serve as the primary corporate contact for vendor relationships
Own product selection, SKU rationalization, and new product introductions
Balance margin dollars and growth with a 26% margin target before rebates
Support branch managers and sales teams with clear guardrails and timely decisions


Purchasing Responsibilities
Final purchasing authority for all inventory categories
Establish and maintain min/max stocking levels
Manage buybacks, returns, and inventory cleanup initiatives
Review large preseason commitments with leadership
Ensure purchasing discipline across all branches


Pricing Responsibilities
Own and maintain company price files
Manage vendor price increases and pricing programs
Support sales growth while protecting margin dollars
Collaborate with sales leadership on strategic pricing decisions


Vendor Relations and Product Strategy
Primary point of contact for vendor relationships
Lead vendor meetings on strategy, pricing, rebates, and buybacks
Evaluate vendor performance and alignment
Lead product introductions and SKU rationalization


Decision Rights
Final authority on purchasing, pricing, vendor management, and product selection
Vendor additions or removals require leadership approval
Large preseason purchasing commitments reviewed with leadership
