Business Development Manager – Semiconductor IndustryLocation: Arizona (Remote/Home-Based)
Preferred Location: Arizona; remote position with 50%–70% travel across North America

Position Summary

We are seeking a results-driven Business Development Manager with a strong “hunter” profile to lead our commercial expansion across North America. In this role, you will identify and develop new business opportunities within the fast-growing semiconductor industry and its related supply chain.

The ideal candidate thrives in a greenfield environment, possesses a proactive sales mindset, and has a proven track record of building strong technical relationships with sourcing, purchasing, and engineering decision-makers in the semiconductor sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Quota-Carrying Sales: Serve as an individual quota carrier responsible for developing and managing the end-to-end sales pipeline, advancing key opportunities, and achieving defined revenue targets.
  • New Customer Acquisition: Actively prospect, execute demand-generation strategies, and conduct customer visits across North America. Target customers may include semiconductor equipment OEMs, fabs, component manufacturers, and suppliers throughout the semiconductor supply chain.
  • Sales Pipeline Management: Maintain a healthy sales funnel by meeting defined monthly and quarterly activity targets, securing strategic accounts, and consistently generating high-value RFQs for precision machining, tooling, molds, and related manufacturing projects.
  • Technical Sales Consultation: Review 2D and 3D part drawings with customer engineering teams, understand their manufacturing and tooling challenges, and effectively present our technical capabilities and customized solutions.
  • Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with purchasing managers, sourcing professionals, engineering teams, and other key decision-makers throughout the sales process.
  • Market Development: Monitor semiconductor industry trends, identify emerging customer needs, and provide market intelligence to support commercial strategy and business growth.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of proven experience in technical sales or business development, preferably within the semiconductor industry or its related supply chain.
  • Relevant Manufacturing Experience: Experience selling precision CNC machining, injection molds, tooling, or other custom-manufactured components is highly preferred but not strictly required.
  • Industry Network: Must possess strong, verifiable relationships with purchasing managers, sourcing professionals, engineers, or other decision-makers within the manufacturing sector. Active contacts within the semiconductor industry and its supply chain are highly preferred.
  • Technical Knowledge: Ability to interpret blueprints and 2D/3D CAD drawings and communicate effectively with tooling, manufacturing, and engineering professionals.
  • Sales Mindset: Strong new-business-development mindset with the ability to independently prospect, open new accounts, and convert opportunities into revenue.
  • Working Style: Highly self-motivated, resilient, autonomous, and comfortable building a market presence and customer database from the ground up.
  • Travel: Willingness and ability to travel throughout North America approximately 50%–70% of the time for customer meetings, site visits, and industry events.

Benefits Offered

  • Comprehensive Health Coverage: Medical, dental, and vision insurance to support the health and well-being of you and your family.
  • Retirement Security: 401(k) retirement plan with a 4% company match.
  • Work-Life Balance: Paid time off and dedicated sick leave.
