Job description

PURCHASING BUYER
This position is a Direct Hire opportunity.
Location: Harvey, IL
Pay Rate: $60K-$80K
Schedule/Shift Details: 7:00 am to 4:00 pm
Position Summary:
The Purchasing Buyer is responsible for managing the purchasing of materials, supplies, equipment, and services needed to support daily manufacturing operations. This position works closely with production, inventory, suppliers, and management to ensure materials are available when needed while maintaining competitive pricing and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
  • Will issue and approve purchase orders based on MO or MRP requirements
  • Position to Manage Assigned Vendor relationships
  • Helping with customer requirements and forecasting.
  • Actively seek quotes on new purchases and issue Purchase orders
  • Visiting customer facilities to provide better service by acquiring firsthand knowledge of customers operations and future application needs.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum Education - Associate's Degree. Preferred Bachelor's Degree
  • 10 years Purchasing/Buying experience
